Victoria Beckham opens up about her fairytale Dublin wedding

Victoria Beckham was in Dublin this week to launch her beauty line

The beloved Spice Girls member greeted fans at Dublin's Brown Thomas on Wednesday afternoon.

During her visit, Victoria reflected on her 1999 wedding to David Beckham.

According to The Irish Times, the fashion designer said she has always loved returning to Ireland.

Victoria said being in Dublin is "always such a treat."

She said, "I’ve been here a few times. I was here a few years ago, and it’s always such a treat to come to Dublin."

Victoria and David Beckham got married at Luttrellstown Castle in Co. Dublin in 1999.

She said she loves coming back to Dublin because of all the fond memories she has here.

"I got married here, can you believe that? I got married in Dublin a long, long time ago so it’s always great to come back," she gushed.

The biggest names in showbiz passed through the gates of Luttrellstown Castle on July 4th, 1999.

Over 200 guests joined Victoria and David Beckham for their big day with stars like Elton John, the Spice Girls, and Gary Neville in attendance.

Their special day reportedly cost around £1 million with Victoria wearing a £30,000 tiara for her big day.

Speaking about why the couple chose the Irish location, organiser Peregrine Armstrong-Jones said:

"Victoria wanted somewhere really private and unique, somewhere leafy and green."

It may have looked like the most lavish event, but Victoria said it was a lot more intimate than the media made it out to be.

"I think that the media glamourised the wedding… [it was] actually much more intimate than it looked," she said in an interview with The Business of Fashion.
