It’s Monday and as it’s the start of the working week, you may be in need of a little pick-me-up.
The story of best friends Mr. G, a goat and Jellybean, a donkey, who were separated before later being reunited, completely stole our hearts.
They were split up when welfare officers in Southern California removed them from squalid conditions and took them to different animal sanctuaries.
However, they hadn’t bargained for the fact that Mr. G would refuse to eat in protest. He took to a corner of his pen and wouldn’t touch any food for six days.
A volunteer from the Animal Place Sanctuary in Green Valley decided it was time to do something and drove to collect Jellybean.
The reunion between the two is truly special and definitely qualifies as a Monday aw… (Mr. G even eats something now he has been reunited with his best friend).
