Viva Las Vegas? Britney Set to Sign Residency Deal But She Won’t Be Getting Big Bucks

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas... eh, unless you’re Britney Spears. When you’re Britney Spears what happens in Vegas gets splashed across the newspapers and the internet a few hours later. But it’s official: Britney is set to sign a deal for a Las Vegas residency.

The Daily Mail reports that  the rumours have been quashed and it has been confirmed that Britney is in the final stages of negotiating a residency deal with the Planet Hollywood casino. The deal is believed to have been set up by her ex-fiance and former agent Jason Trawick.

“We are in deep negotiations and I’d be shocked if it didn’t happen. Hoping to have a deal done very soon,” said Britney’s longtime manager Larry Rudolph.

A formal announcement regarding Britney’s new venture as a Las Vegas performer is expected in the next few weeks, however, it seems as though Brit won’t be getting big bucks for putting on a show every night in Sin City.

According to a source who is familiar with the negotiations, the dealw ould be considerably smaller than other residencies.

“Nobody expects this to be a five-night-a-week residency, it wouldn’t be right for Britney right now,” said the source.

Britney fueled the speculation that she’d be taking up a position in Vegas when she replied to the following tweet which was sent to her by her dog. Seriously:

While it may be full steam ahead for Britney’s Las Vegas show, fans have reportedly begged the singer to reconsider because they fear the stress of life in Las Vegas could be too much for poor Britney.
