Vogue Williams on pressure to ‘snap back’ after third child

Katy Brennan

“You just need to look after yourself.”

Vogue Williams has opened up about the pressure women feel to ‘snap back’ after giving birth.

The model welcomed her third child, a baby boy, into the world with husband Spencer Matthews earlier this month.

The couple are also parents to three-year-old Theodore and one-year-old Gigi.

In an interview with OK! Magazine, Vogue said there is an unfair expectation on women after birth to get into shape as soon as possible.

She admitted that she felt this herself, but now, it doesn’t phase her. Instead, she is focusing on her health and her family life.

“Maybe with Theodore I felt the pressure that I put on myself, but not now. You just need to look after yourself,” she said.

“Getting your pelvic floor back is more important, I think. I go on this special buzzing chair called the PelviPower, and it’s amazing.”

She also said she plans to take a step back from her work commitments for the time being as she focuses on being a mum.

“I’ll definitely take a break, but a lot of my jobs are done from home, so I’m happy to continue with those. I’ll just see how I feel.”

Vogue took to Instagram on 5 April to announce her baby news, writing:

“We are so happy to announce that our beautiful boy arrived safely on Monday evening. Bursting with love he is the perfect addition to our family.

Spencer also shared the happy news on his own Instagram profile. The entrepreneur shared a snap of Gigi and Theo with their backs to the camera as they stand over a crib.

In the caption, Spencer wrote “And then there were three…”

The pair are yet to reveal the name they have chosen for the little boy.
