We Always Knew He Had the Irish Charm: Cruise to Get Certificate of Irish Ancestry During Dublin Visit

Tom Cruise spends most of his time across the Atlantic but it turns out he is more Irish than first thought.

The actor, whose ancestry was traced to County Roscommon, actually has more family roots in County Dublin according to new research commissioned by The Gathering.

 

Tom has been busy promoting his new movie.

As a result Tom is going to be presented with a Certificate of Irish Ancestry next week when he is in the capital to launch his new film Oblivion.

Speaking about the news Dave Burke, General Manager of Universal Pictures International Ireland, said: “We are thrilled Tom is returning to Ireland to launch his latest movie Oblivion.

“It’s a huge bonus that we can share this new information with Tom about his Dublin heritage.”

 

Oblivion is due to hit the big screen very soon.

But that’s not all as the Hollywood star is also said to be in talks with officials about filming in the country.

We just have our fingers crossed he might also be planning on settling down here perhaps with a new Mrs Cruise!
