Ellie Goulding has revealed an unlikely collaboration next year – saying she wants BBC legend David Attenborough to do a speaking cameo on her next record.
Speaking to The Sun, Goulding said that she is thinking about theming the record around the universe, adding that she would love to include the BBC’s veteran nature expert Attenborough on the album.
Talking about her wishes to utilise him on the track, the singer said:
“I’ve written a lot of songs about relationships and break-ups. I feel like my next album is going to be about the beginning of the universe and also watching documentaries and loving David Attenborough – his voice and his knowledge is amazing.
“If I could somehow utilise his voice in a recording with me, it would be awesome – a chance to make a point with my music and his authority.”
This wouldn’t be the first time David Attenborough dipped his toes in music, having already featured in a Channel 4 documentary alongside Bjork to look at the links between nature and music.
