What A Birthday… Twink Fined €1000 In Court And Thanks Judge It Wasn’t Worse

Twink has hit headlines, and no, it’s not the eighties again, the entertainer was in court with driving charges against her.

Adele King, better known as Twink, was fined €1,000 for having no car insurance, Breaking News reports.

Not the nicest birthday treat anyone could receive, Twink turns 62 today, but she did get off lightly.

Charges were brought against her last year when she stopped gardai for directions at Ballymount exit on the M50.

The judge has allowed her just over five months to pay the fine.

The court heard she had switched her insurance to a new jeep and had forgotten to switch it back.

Outside the court she spoke out and said it was a “stupid, idiotic mistake”.

Twink said it was a "stupid" mistake. 

Other charges were struck out such as failure to produce a driver’s license and driving without reasonable consideration. Gardai were concerned that her dog Mary was sticking her head out the rear window of the car.

Judge John Coughlan asked Twink what her occupation was. She replied that she worked in the entertainment industry.

She did thank the judge for not disqualifying her from the roads, her birthday night wasn’t completely ruined.
