Woo-hoo: Katy Perry Wants Her Next Man to go Old-School and “Court” Her

You’d think that going through a divorce would turn you off dating for a little while, but if anything, it has just made Katy Perry more determined than ever to find herself the perfect man.

The Irish Sun reports that the singer has admitted that she wants a new man to “court” her. Can we just remind everyone that this statement is coming a few short weeks after Katie was granted a divorce from her ex-husband comedian Russell Brand?

We know that time is supposed to heal all your wounds, or something like that, but it seems that Katy is of the opposite opinion and is ready to get herself back out into the world of dating.

So what’s Katy on the lookout for this time? The singer wants a man who is willing to take the time to give her a good, old-fashioned wooing because despite her bad luck recently, she still believes in love.

“I’m a woman who likes to be courted, strongly,” said Katy. (Is it just us or does “strong courting” sound a little bit intimidating?).

“Never say never, I guess you’d say. I’ll let love take the lead on that,” she added.

Katy also revealed that she doesn’t want to tell her fans what to do, especially when it comes to love, but she hopes she sets a good example for them.

“I can’t tell a person when it’s time for them to have sex, or if they should have a cigarette. But I try to live my life with a lot of integrity,” she said.

“I know I don’t need the Prince Charming to have a happy ending,” she added.
