Power to Jani
Dani Dyer, no not that one, and Jack Fincham have won Love Island 2018.
It was all but certain from quite literally day one, or indeed Dani’s appearance on Survival of the Fittest, and bookies Paddy Power started paying out on bets on the couple before the final had even aired.
The couple were odds on to win at 1/12, compared to second favourites Josh and Jazimir at 9/1.
Bust Josh and Kaz came third, ahead of Megan and Wes in fourth but behind Laura and Paul in second.
Jack said the biggest test for the couple out of the villa would be living together. “But I 100, 1 million, per cent trust her. We’ll be house hunting.”
“I’ve never been in the final of anything,” Dani said. “I can’t believe it.”
Dani and Jack walk away with the £50,000 prize pot, but that’s the least of their earnings. Couples that win can expect to earn £2.4 million in appearance fees and sponsored Instagram posts, making it more lucrative to go on the constructed reality show than to Oxford or Cambridge.
The pair are the only couple to win without having sex on the TV show and Caroline Flack asked when they would be joining the ‘do bits society.’
“Tonight, I think,” Jack said to rapturous applause.
