There are some absolutely incredible TV shows and movies coming to Netflix in April

There’s nothing better than a good movie.

And it looks like Netflix feels the same way as we do.

From cinematic classics to original movies, there’s plenty of new films arriving on the streaming service this month.

And you’ll be able to keep up-to-date with your favourite shows from the States, with many new series’ adding their episodes weekly.

Here’s a glimpse at what will be landing on the streaming service later this month.

Original Series

Lost In Space (Season One) 

The reboot of the popular 1965 series follows the adventures of a family of pioneering space colonists after their spaceship veers off course.

Available April 13.

My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman: Jay-Z

David Letterman returns in a monthly series of in-depth interviews with globally relevant personalities, plus field segments expressing his curiosity.

Available April 6.

The Alienist (Season One)

Part thriller, part drama, the psychological series follows crime reporter John Moore and psychologist Dr. Laszlo Kreisler as they investigate a serial killer in New York during the late 19th century.

Available April 19.

Happy! (Season One) 

Nick Sax is a corrupt ex-cop-turned-hit-man whose world changes forever when a hit gone wrong nearly kills him. He’s suddenly able to see a cartoonish winged horse named Happy, who he works with to solve a kidnapping.

Available April 26.

Original Films

6 Balloons

Over the course of a single night, a woman drives across Los Angeles with her brother – who is a heroin addict – in search of a detox centre, with his young daughter in tow.

Available April 6.

Dude

The coming of age drama follows four best girlfriends as they try and navigate some huge life changes in the last two weeks of high school.

Available April 20.

Weekly Series

RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 10)

RuPaul is back as the host, mentor and head judge of the competition to search for “America’s next drag superstar”.

New episodes on Fridays.

iZombie (Season 4) 

Liv Moore goes from medical student to crime solving medical examiner when she gets turned into a zombie at a boat party. After eating a dead person’s brain, she’s able to temporarily inherit some of their personality – as well as their memories, which often leads to their killers.

New episodes on Wednesdays.

Riverdale (Season 2)

If Jason Blossom’s murder revealed the slimy underbelly beneath Riverdale’s surface, as we enter season two, the shooting of Fred Andrews threatens to plunge the entire town into utter darkness.

Designated Survivor (Season Two)

A low-level Cabinet member becomes President of the United States after a catastrophic attack kills everyone above him in the line of succession.

Black Lightning (Season One)

A retired vigilante leaves behind his quiet life as a school principal and returns to fighting crime in his New Orleans community.

Knocked Up
