Honestly….
We are still in royal wedding buzz here in the Her HQ. Reliving and reminiscing over the day which was just like a fairytale.
But, like everything that draws the attention of the entire world… there is always someone hoping to make a quick buck out of the celebration. And this one has drawn more than a few.
Yesterday, we covered that all the guests at the royal wedding plus the 2,500 members of the invited public received a goodie bag as a memory of the day.
The goodie bag was a small woven tote with the letters “HM” on the front alongside the location and date of the wedding. Then, the contents of the bag included a bottle of water, a chocolate coin, a commemorative shortbread, a fridge magnet and a wedding booklet.
And those goodie bags (which are a mere day old at this stage) are already on eBay and for sale from €330 upwards to €8,000.
The bag which is seen above and currently receiving bids, describes the product as follows…
“Buy a piece of history and memorabilia to celebrate a momentous special day for Britain’s and the royal family.”
I mean for €8,000? Honestly.
Each goodie bag on eBay is receiving various bids from punters all willing to spend the astronomically high demanding prices for ultimately, a free token from Windsor Castle.
And from a quick hunt around the internet, we’ve already found eight bags on the website which vary in price however, most of them for over €1,000. Madness.
You can be sure when people start seeing what they can make from these goodie bags, more will begin to crop up with the luxury of being yours for a hefty sum.
