Apparently, this is why Samira and Frankie’s night in the Hideaway wasn’t shown on Love Island

Viewers were not happy.

Love Island has come under fire for the way that Samira and Frankie’s relationship was portrayed.

The dancer was one of the first contestants in the villa but had little luck in finding love – until recently when she coupled up with Frankie.

The pair’s romance seemed to go from naught to one hundred as they appeared to become loved up very quickly.

But it was revealed on Thursday that the pair had actually gotten closer than viewers had seen – even spending the night in the Hideaway together.

Viewers were fuming over Samira’s ‘storyline’ on the show, with some going as far as accusing producers of racial prejudice in how she was portrayed on the show.

But Alex Miller, who was briefly partnered with Megan after Casa Amor, has now claimed that there was a different reason the night – as well as more of Samira and Frankie’s relationship – wasn’t shown.

He told Digital Spy:

“You only see drama, there was no drama in those two – no-one was chasing them.

“Her and Frankie were proper into each other. She spent a long time in that villa and I don’t think she was going to find anyone else that she gets on as well with.”

In scenes that aired on Thursday night, Samira said that she had decided to leave as she felt she had “unfinished business” with Frankie and wanted to see where their relationship went.

And Alex said that it was a “good idea” for her to exit the villa and pursue that.

He explained:

“I think it’s a nice time for her to come out. It proved she’s not playing a game.

“She wasn’t there for a game, she found someone she connects with. If she only wanted to boost her Instagram followers then she was in there long enough.

“I think she’s found someone she connects with on a really nice level. It’s a good idea for her to come out and pursue that.”
