Coronation Street Star Anne Kirkbride’s Final Christmas Captured In Family Photograph

The final photo of Coronation Street star Anne Kirkbride has been released and shows the smiling actress enjoying her last Christmas with her family. The late actress, known for her role as Deirdre Barlow in the soap, passed away from cancer earlier this month and her nephew shared the photo on Facebook at the weekend in her memory. In the touching image, she can be seen celebrating the festive season with husband David Beckett, her brother John Kirkbride, his wife Jac and their children, Alphin and Samedi. John previously released a statement, saying that the family are still "struggling to come to terms with the loss".

"She was the sort of person who brought light and laughter to everything she did, and she brought magic with her into the world.  She was without doubt the most kind, generous and loving person I have ever known, and her death has left an empty space in our lives that will be very hard to fill," he said.

"I’d like to thank everyone who has paid tribute to Annie in the press and on social media – it gave us a lot of comfort and made us feel proud. Annie was much loved by us all and was a big part of our lives, and she will be missed very much".
