Corrie’s Sarah Platt in for a HUGE shock tonight after confrontation with Ryan Connor

Coronation Street's Sarah Platt is in for a horrifying shock tonight after her showdown with Ryan Connor turned violent.

It all began earlier this week when Ryan invited Bethany, Sarah's daughter, over for a romantic dinner date. Sarah decided to confront Ryan about what actually happened, but becomes livid when he brands Bethany a tease. She shoved him, causing Ryan to hit his head in the kitchen, before running out of the flat. But as she saw Ryan later being loaded into an ambulance, Sarah began to fear the worst. In scenes set to air tonight, an unconscious Ryan will finally wake up - and he has no memory of the incident in question. However, since Bethany worries it was her who caused the injuries, Sarah decides to come clean: both to her daughter and Ryan. She sincerely explains to Ryan that she has become overprotective of Bethany after she was the victim of a grooming gang last year. But Ryan isn't ready to let it go - and Sarah is taken aback when tells her she will have to buy his silence with several hundred pounds. In scenes set to air next week, Sarah tells Ryan that she won't be paying him anything - but will he follow through with his blackmail threats and report her to the police?
