Emmerdale fans think they have figured out the real identity of Amelia Spencer’s kidnapper

To be fair, it makes a lot of sense.

Slowly but surely, Emmerdale fans have been getting more and more information about Amelia Spencer's abduction. The schoolgirl hadn't been seen by anyone since June 1, when she appeared to vanish from the village - just after finding out that Daz Spencer is her biological father. It was recently revealed that Amelia was, thankfully, alive and well - and was with a young woman named Beth. Fans reckon they have now figured out what Beth's motivation for kidnapping Amelia is...and how it may connect to Daz's past. Daz told the police recently that he had accidentally killed someone while he was in the army in 2009. He also told of what exactly happened with the accident during his army days. He explained:

"It was a training exercise. Daz was very boisterous and fought against all of the powerful higher ranking officers.

"He was a little too anarchic, so he went out the night before and had a load to drink and it probably caused his judgement to be off.

"Accidentally, on a live fire training exercise, a member of his squad got shot and it transpires that it was Daz's bullet.

"Thankfully Daz was cleared from the incident, but it's haunted him ever since and it's probably one of the most major reasons that he has spiralled out of control.

"It's why he has become the mess that he is. It's haunted him forever, but he fought against it, instead of trying to resolve it."

He added that he thinks Daz is "absolutely desperate to prove his worth and desperate to get his girl [Amelia] back". He continued:

"I think that the only way Daz can heal the damage that has been done is to find Amelia.

"He's on a mission at the moment to do everything in his power to help, seeing as the police don't believe him, his family don't believe him and neither does his girlfriend.

"And the village is now starting to hear all of this and people are believing that Daz not only abducted Amelia but maybe even killed her."

"It's his focus that Amelia is safe and alive, because his previous life has caused this pain. He's at a loss over what to do, so his only focus is to work out how to find Amelia and who has taken her."
