Her dad revealed it all.
EastEnders have finally revealed what Lauren Branning did after she left Walford earlier this year – and it looks like it’s good news for fans of her relationship with Peter Beale.
Her dad, Max, revealed that Lauren had moved to New Zealand as he told his brother Jack that “[baby] Abi’s all I got left.”
Meanwhile, Rainie Cross’s mum Cora told her that Lauren is “doing fine” and “New Zealand clearly agrees with her”.
As many fans of the long-running soap will know, Peter and Lauren had initially headed to New Zealand with baby Louie – before she had to return to help clear Max’s name in the Lucy Beale murder trial.
And while it wasn’t outright confirmed that the on-again-off-again couple had reconciled, many viewers were hoping that Lauren being in New Zealand meant she and Peter had worked through everything and were getting their happily ever after.

So Max just said that Lauren is in New Zealand so does that mean she's gone back to Peter ? #Eastenders

The fate of then character, played by Jacqueline Jossa, had been up in the air since she left the soap in February this year.
Lauren decided at her sister’s funeral that she needed to go and start a new life.
But fans were left floored – and a bit crushed – when Lauren decided to ditch her boyfriend Josh Hemmings, and headed off only with her young son.
