The first look at the Bill & Ted sequel is here as Keanu and Alex reunite

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.

The first look at the eagerly anticipated Bill & Ted sequel is here – and yes, Keanu Reeves looks pretty much the same as he did back in 1989.

Just kidding, he looks a bit older. Maybe five years or so.

Bill & Ted Face The Music, set for release next summer, sees the Keanu reunite with Alex Winter in a bid to create some bangin’ tunes to save reality, again.

The upcoming film – the third in the series, nonetheless – finds the lads still making music with their band, Wyld Stallyns.

However, it soon becomes abundantly clear that Bill & Ted are going to have to save the world again – a feat that they should have become quite proficient at by this stage.

“Yet to fulfil their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it,” reads the movie’s blurb.

“Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends — to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.”

“They were told when they were teenagers that they were going to save reality, and they’ve been working on it the whole time,” writer Chris Matheson told Entertainment Weekly.

“Now an emissary from the future comes and says, ‘You’ve got to do it right now. We’ve got literally 80 minutes or all of reality will come to an end’.”

This time, however, it won’t just be Bill & Ted doing the saving – they’ll also be helped out by their daughters, Thea and Billie, played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine.

The more the merrier.

Bill & Ted Face The Music is set for release on August 21, 2020.
