Wait, WHAT?!
The premiere of Grey’s Anatomy’s season 15 is just a few weeks away – and it looks like there may be a surprising new romance on the cards.
A 30-second trailer for the two-hour premiere was released earlier this week and while it may be short, it’s certainly dramatic.
It all kicks off with what appears to be an explosion in an operating room (or, at least, a reallyreallyreally loud noise) as a bunch of surgeons look on in shock/horror and Richard yells for them to ‘back away’.
We get our first look at the new doctors, played by Chris Carmack and Alex Landi – and Teddy finally revealing her pregnancy news.
But it was the last few seconds that really left us stunned.
As the narrator hinted at a “jaw-dropping twist”, DeLuca could be seen walking over to Meredith in Grey Sloan Memorial…before it cut to a shot of them getting very steamy in bed.
It could mean that there’s a romance brewing between the two (it is the Season of Love, after all) – but it could also be some kind of fantasy Meredith is having.
Grey’s Anatomy returns in North America on September 27, with a two hour premiere.
According to PEOPLE, ABC revealed the title of the episode(s) as ‘With a Wonder and a Wild Desire’/’Broken Together’ – and hinted at what fans can expect.
The synopsis read:
“During the first hour of the two-hour season premiere, the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial vie for a new position.
“Meredith is seemingly distracted and struggles to stay focused, and Maggie finds herself the keeper of a big secret while Amelia and Owen try to figure out their relationship.
“Meanwhile, Jo and Alex’s honeymoon doesn’t go exactly as planned.
“In the second hour, new doctors continue to shake up the hospital in typical Grey Sloan manner.
“Meredith bonds with a patient while Jackson struggles with the meaning behind recent experiences; and after making a life-changing decision, Jo forms an unexpected alliance.”
