Anyone else have storyline fatigue?

Soap fans love a villain but it looks like Emmerdale viewers are beginning to get fed up of the Lachlan murder storyline. We were left on edge as it looked like Lachlan had killed Rebecca on Thursday but after last night's episode we're none the wiser as to whether she's dead or alive. After appearing to strangle her, Lachlan tried to explain her disappearance to Aaron Dingle. He told him that Rebecca had texted him to say that she wouldn't be returning to Yorkshire and that she didn't want to take care of baby Seb. Lachlan then rushed back to the cabin where he'd been keeping Rebecca hostage to find his wallet. She was nowhere to be seen, thought the camera panned to a suitcase in the corner of the room. Above the suitcase was a message scratched onto the wall: "Lachlan is a killer". Without any answers as to what had really happened to Rebecca, some viewers were clearly annoyed with the storyline dragging on.

It may be far from over though as there's speculation that Lachlan is about to kill again. Everyone from Robert Sugden to Ross Barton has been rumoured to be Lachlan's next victim, but we want to know what happened to Rebecca before anything else happens, TBH.
