Irish fans were delighted to learn that Ronan Keating’s son Jack would be entering the Love Island villa for Casa Amor, and his parents are equally chuffed.
In fact, it seems mum Yvonne Connolly already had a girl in mind for her son, but unfortunately, that islander has since been dumped from the show.
Last night, the official Love Island Twitter page posted a meme of Antigoni Buxton gazing out into the distance and captioned it: “When will my husband arrive in the villa.”
To this, Yvonne replied, “Sooner than you think Antigoni”. She added the hashtag #JackandAntigoni, as well as a winky face emoji and a love-heart.
Needless to say, Yvonne was in for disappointment as later on in the episode the boys made the decision to dump Antigoni from the island.

The Greek singer was among the islanders who received the fewest votes from the public, and faced elimination alongside Tasha, Danica, Andrew, Charlie and Jay. After conferring, the boys selected Antigoni to leave, while the girls picked Charlie.
While Yvonne may have had her heart set on Antigoni, we’re certain Jack will have his own opinions, and he’s also unafraid to break up some couples if that’s what he needs to do.
Speaking ahead of entering the villa, the 23-year-old said: “It won’t be the most ideal thing but I’ve got to do what’s best for me.”
He is also on the lookout for someone who is close to their family, and admitted that if they weren’t, he’d get the ick.
When asked what makes him a good boyfriend, Jack said: “I’m definitely loyal, my loyalties are obviously with the girl I’m with. I’ve never cheated on anyone. I’m very compassionate, I’m not afraid to tell a girl how I feel – I wear my heart on my sleeve a lot of the time.”
Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and on the Virgin Media Player.
