The cast of The Inbetweeners have officially confirmed that there is not a third movie in the pipeline.
The stars spoke out after a number of rumours had circulated about the possibility of a third movie, and James Buckley, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas and Simon Bird were quick to dismiss the idea, much to the disappointment of their loyal legion of fans.
“There’s no third film. This is genuinely our last interview. Ever, ever, ever,” said Simon to The Sun.
“Physically, unfortunately, we’re ageing. The body clock is ticking,” agreed James, before Simon continued, “We’ll never have another job like this.
“We’re all a bit similar in temperament – and we’re all a bit weird. I feel very content in the company of these three and that is quite a beautiful thing. In a way, that is why it’s sad. It had to end at some point.”
