Liam Payne says One Direction might get back together in two years, maybe
Vague.
A few years ago, One Direction split up.
Ever since that time, 1D fans have been lamenting this fact, waiting patiently (and hopelessly) for the lads to announce that they are finally reuniting.
Because they will.
Bands do not simply split up these days. TV shows do not just end. Nothing is final in a world where the reboot is king and nostalgia is currency.
It's going t0 happen, guys. It's just a question of when - and according to Liam Payne, it could actually be a couple of years from now.
Maybe.
The former band member and now solo artist told Sunday Brunch that he is "sure" that he, Niall, Harry, Zayn, and Louis will get back together at some point down the line.
"I think at some point we will get back together. I think we will for sure," he said.
"I don’t know when that is yet, but all I know is that there are at least two years because everyone’s released new music and you have to go and promo. There are at least two years."
So that's two years from now... or any time after that.
Sound.
Liam, who is currently releasing his own solo material while fellow ex band member Harry also releases his own solo material, said that he recently saw the 'Adore You' singer for the first time in three years.
"It was really interesting, we hadn’t seen each other for a really long time," he said.
"It was really nice, he’s still the same boy as when I left him which is really sweet, just different with age and whatever else. He’s such a lovely lad."
Despite denying that there is any "bad blood" between any members of the band, Liam did admit that spending so much time together touring did take its toll.
"For five years we were in each other’s pockets," he said.
"The thing I always describe it as is if you imagine an office, and One Direction was my office, there’s one person you don’t really get along with, one person you don’t know very much about, one person you hang out with all the time and someone you’re sort of friends with."
Classic office vibe there mate, yeah.
Liam Payne's new release, LP1, is out now.
