We all know the standard knife-throwing trick. One man stands against a wooden board, the other throws knives AROUND his body.
The most important reality being that the assistant at no time is meant to fear for his life.
In this case, it’s easy to see early on in the clip, that the trick isn’t going to plan.
As well as not landing a number of knives into the wooden wall behind him (which is intimidating enough), the assistant literally takes his life in his hands when he holds up a card.
