Love Island

Once again, Love Island took over our summer this year.

There were eight long weeks filled with countless conversations about recoupling, kicking off, getting mugged off, and not putting all of your eggs in one basket – and we absolutely loved it.

And while we briefly wondered if we had reached peak Love Island, let’s face it – we’ll all be just as eager to catch up with villa life when season five begins next summer.

In news that is sure to delight Love Island fans, it looks like there may be another version of the reality TV series on the way.

That’s right, an Irish version of the popular series is said to be in the works – with a very familiar face reportedly in the running to host.

The Irish Daily Star report that Virgin Media boss Bill Malone has been speaking to a production company about setting up an Irish version of Love Island.

He told the publication:

“It has been rumoured about an Irish Love Island and it has been discussed. I can say no more.”

Ireland’s Got Talent’s Lucy Kennedy is said to be the frontrunner to take over the hosting duties on the show, with a source calling her the “perfect presenter to host the Irish version of Love Island.
