Looks like there’s an unexpected romance brewing in EastEnders next week

There's an unexpected romance brewing between Walford's Jack Branning and Mel Owen - and it's all set to come to a head next week. Jack has been trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to win over Mel ever since she arrived back in Walford. And while the chemistry between them has been pretty obvious, Mel has been keen to keep her distance - mostly due to the disproval of her son, Hunter. Things will kick off between Mel and Jack next week during Billy Mitchell's birthday celebrations. Mel ends up losing her temper with Billy when he messes up at work, while a stunned Jack and Woody watch on. But she ends up making up for it later when she announces her plans to host a surprise party for him at the club, even hoping to get Billy's ex Honey along to the party to invite them. Things end up seriously backfiring when Honey doesn't end up making it to the party, and Billy gives Mel a piece of his mind for interfering in his relationship. Furious at his outburst, Mel storms off and she's soon followed by Jack, who insists she needs to make things up to Honey. And while the pair continue to argue, the chemistry and tension ends up boiling over - and they're soon all over each other.
