Love Island’s Adam is going to do the last thing we expected tonight

Love Island continues tonight on 3e.

Has he had a change of heart?

It didn’t take too long for new boy Sam to point out basically what every Love Island viewer had been thinking: that Adam’s treatment of Rosie was not OK.

And it looks like the 22-year-old may have taken the criticism to heart in tonight’s episode.

The personal trainer decides to apologise to Rosie, pulling her aside for a chat on the terrace.

He begins:

“I think that obviously things with me and you haven’t really worked out the best.

“And I’m sorry. I am actually sorry if you felt that way. Whatever you felt, I’m sorry that I upset you. I don’t like seeing anyone cry.”

Rosie thanks him for the apology, before adding:

“Seeing you and Zara and the way you are, I just think, because obviously we were close and when we were good we were good, but I didn’t not try if you get me.

“It was a bit both ways. It takes two to make an effort.”

Adam tells her that it “wasn’t nice” to see her upset, but he thought it would be best at the time to give her space.

He continued:

“Well I’m sorry that you were upset, and it wasn’t nice seeing you upset.

“I know we’ve got our differences but I didn’t want to see you like that, I really didn’t.

“I just thought at the time it was probably best to give you space.”

The pair appear to have finally called a truce in the villa, as Rosie admits:

“That’s all I wanted, was to be your friend.

“But I did want you to know that I did really like you and I did have feelings for you.

“It was never fake on my part anyway and I did want to see what would happen and obviously it hasn’t worked out.

“All I want is just to be friends with you so I’m glad you pulled me up. Thank you. Want to hug it out?”

Later on, Adam told the Beach Hut that he hopes Rosie will get “whatever she wants to get out of the villa.”

He added:

“I really do because it’s not nice seeing someone upset and hopefully it’ll be a bit of a distraction as well as something real.

“Me and Zara have got something going on so hopefully she can too.”

Love Island continues on 3e tonight at 9pm.
