The Eurovision, home to corny songs, tacky dance moves and all things cheesy pop, is getting a new entrant this year as it has been announced that Australia (yes, Australia that’s miles away from Europe) will be entering this year's competition.
According to reports, the land Down Under was given permission to enter the competition this week for the event that will be held in Vienna.
Organizers have stated that it will be “just for once, and for many good reasons.”
Australia will not need to go through the qualifying stages but will instead go through to the grand finale.
Reports have suggested that the reason that they have been allowed to enter is because the Eurovision is celebrating its 60th year this year though this has not been confirmed.
