Netflix is adapting Karin Slaughter’s best-selling thriller novel Pieces of Her

This will be brilliant.

Netflix has announced that it is adapting Karin Slaughter's best-selling thriller Pieces of Her. The streaming service confirmed that the crime author's novel will be turned into an eight-part series very soon. There has been a rise in crime and thriller series' lately (because we're all so into them) and this one will follow the same vein as Jessica Biel's The Sinner. The synopsis of Pieces of Her reads: "When a Saturday afternoon trip to the mall with her mother suddenly explodes into violence, an adrift young woman's conception of her mother is forever changed.

"As figures from her mother's past start to resurface, she is forced to go on the run and on that journey, begins to piece together the truth of her mother’s previous identity and uncovers secrets of her childhood."

Pieces of Her will be executive produced by Bruna Papandrea of Made Up Stories, which is the production company behind Big Little Lies and Gone Girl that focuses on female figures at the centre of every production, between actresses, directors, writers and producers. It has not yet been announced when Pieces of Her will be released, or even filmed but we're really looking forward to seeing it on screen.
