Ryan Thomas made his Neighbours debut and it was really creepy

Keeley Ryan

He’s officially arrived on Ramsay Street.

Coronation Street’s Ryan Thomas made his debut on Neighbours this week – and his character is going to be stirring up some trouble.

The actor joint the Australian soap as the dark and mysterious English tourist Rafael Humphreys in some seriously eerie scenes on Monday night.

He was first seen lurking around Toadie’s 90s party, before heading to Paul Robinson’s suite and standing over him as he slept.

Thomas recently opened up about what’s to come of this character…kind of.

He told Metro.co.uk:

“By the end of it, people are going to find out if he’s a good guy or a bad guy.

“I was about to tell you what he is then but I’m not! (laughs).

“For Rafael character you’ll see a mixed bag of emotions of who he is and what he is. I want you to find out without me giving too much away.

“The character is very very deep, he’s very troubled and emotional. He’s a roller coaster of a character and he’s caught off guard with any relationship.”

“He’s going to shake things up when he gets there. I’m not saying any more!”

It was first announced that the actor would be joining the soap late last year, after his 2016 exit from Coronation Street.

Ryan began playing Jason Grimshaw on Corrie when he was just 16 years old in 2000.

He left the show in 2016 saying that he wanted new experiences and a chance to pursue other roles.

At that point, he said he didn’t know what direction he would go in and hinted that he could end up on stage or even a new style of acting.
