S Club are back with a brand new Christmas song and it’s kind of catchy

Just in time for the holidays

S Club are back with their first new single in 14 years – and just in time for the holidays.

The pop group, now going by SC3, has spent the last few weeks teasing a potential new release.

But now the trio, Jo O’Meara, Tina Barrett and Bradley MacIntosh, have dropped a teaser of their upcoming charity single, Family.

And it’s kind of catchy.

According to Digital Spy, all of the proceeds of the single will be donated to the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

The song, which will be available on December 11, is said to have been first pitched to S Club 7 for their 2015 reunion tour.

It was written by Simon Ellis, who wrote songs like Never Had A Dream Come True and Don’t Stop Movin’  for the pop group.

The trio are said to have rebranded themselves as SC3 to try and avoid any potential issues with their former bandmates, according to The Sun.

A source close to the group said:

“Family was originally pitched for all seven of them to sing on their Bring It All Back reunion tour in 2015, when they toyed with the idea of releasing new tunes.

“But it was Paul who decided he didn’t want to continue, and the other members didn’t want to release music without the whole band.

“With S Club 3 now putting out the song, it could cause friction.”
