People are saying a clothing company is ‘bullying’ Love Island’s Josh

People on Twitter have been giving clothes company In The Style some stick for their WEHATEJOSH10 discount code.

In The Style were understandably fuming at Josh’s treatment of Georgia on Love Island and joked that they would be implementing the discount code WEHATEJOSH10.

After huge demand from fans the joke became a reality, with the code offering a 25 percent site-wide discount.

Some people are less than happy with the whole thing though and say it constitutes cyber bullying.

A lot of twitter users think that there’s no way the code would be accepted if it was about a girl but others are throwing back that they’d be more than on board with a WEHATEMEGAN discount too. We can’t say that we disagree with that.

However, one of the main criticisms people have is that this tweet comes so soon after the death of 2016 Love Island star Sophie Gradon. The former Miss Great Britain winner was found dead in her apartment two weeks ago.

Sophie, and other former Love Island contestants, spoke about the online abuse received after leaving the villa. She said that she went to a dark place because of the amount of negative attention.

One twitter user commented:

Another criticised the company because of the reach of their tweet saying it was “unprofessional.”

However, In The Style are sticking to their guns and insisting that the code is only a bit of fun and that supporting fellow ladies will always be their first priority.

In a post discussing the issue, they defended their position, saying:

“We have always been against f*ck boys. We also hate early morning gym sessions. Bad coffee and working late on a Friday.

“We loathe bullies and everything they stand for. As strong girls we have our views and we will share them … We are and always will be about girl power.”

Despite the complaints, the discount has received a load of positive reactions from ladies and men alike. So it seems like most people see the funny side of it. Or at least they’re sick of these boys not being called out for their nonsense.

So what do you think? Is this discount code delving into the dangerous waters of cyber bullying? Or is it simply a bit of fun in the name of girl power?
