The first trailer for season two of Killing Eve is finally here

Keeley Ryan

Woah.

The first trailer for the second season of Killing Eve is (finally) here.

BBC America released the minute-long preview clip – featuring an eerie version of Robert Palmer’s Addicted to Love – on Valentine’s Day.

It begins with an overwhelmed Eve, with bloody hands and everything, (rather loudly) telling someone on the phone: “I found Villanelle. I think I might’ve killed her,” as she stands in the middle of a park. In front of a couple getting engaged.

There’s flashes of Eve returning to the hunt for Villanelle, who is still very much alive (yes, despite those stab wounds she got at the end of season one).

And it appears as if the cat-and-mouse game is well and truly back on.

“Sometimes, when you love someone, you do crazy things,” Villanelle ominously says in the voice-over, as there are glimpses of her struggling in the hospital, possibly killing more people and strutting down the middle of a street in cartoon pyjamas.

The series is expected to premiere on April 7.
