The full trailer for American Horror Story: Apocalypse has been released – and it’s just as terrifying as you would expect.
The footage, released on Wednesday, gave the first full glimpse at the anthology series’ nuclear apocalypse, which – at least for now – appears to be the main storyline.
After a fairly ominous message at the start – “No need for the news anymore, the chaos has won” – the trailer descends into the kind of total mayhem you would only expect with the end of the world.
People are screaming; planes are crashing; there’s some kind of weird safe house/torture house that people can apparently not ever, ever leave.
Oh, and it ends with a ‘Hail Satan’. Like we said, mayhem.
The latest instalment of the anthology series is set to be a cross over between two other season – so there’s going to be plenty of familiar faces and characters.
Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Jessica Lange, Dylan McDermott, Taissa Farmiga and Connie Britton are all set to appear.
Many of them will be reprising their roles from previous seasons, including Coven and the original series, Murder House.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres in the United States on Wednesday, September 12. There’s no word yet on when it is due to begin in Ireland.
