Billie Eilish’s second Met Gala dress is beyond stunning

Her second look was strikingly different, but equally gorgeous.

Music sensation Billie Eilish blew everyone away at Monday night’s Met Gala as she stepped out on the red carpet in a stunning Oscar de la Renta gown.

The Happier Than Ever singer evoked the spirit of old Hollywood in the billowing peach dress with a tulle train. Many style lovers felt that the gown, combined with her blonde bob, was a subtle homage to the legendary actress Marilyn Monroe.

If that weren’t enough, Billie had a second look prepared for the iconic fashion event, and it was just as stunning.

Eilish, who served as the Met Gala’s cochair for the evening, changed into a wine coloured number, also by Oscar de la Renta, later on.

This striking outfit, which was also inspired by old Hollywood glamour, had a corset style bodice and a ruffled hem. Updating the look with a contemporary twist, Billie’s dress had a thigh high split which gave fans a sneak peak of her leg tattoo. The dress also had a sheer cape fastened at the neck and she completed the look with a red clutch, heels, and, of course, stunning jewelry.

On Instagram, Billie explained that she decided to work with the legendary fashion house Oscar de la Renta but only if they promised to stop selling fur.

The label had already started to phase fur out of their runway looks, after they found it to be “irrelevant”. Now, however, they will not use fur in any of their garments.

Sharing a photo of her ballgown with her followers, the singer wrote: “thank you @oscardelarenta for designing this BEAUTIFUL dress and bringing my ideas and vision to life. it was an honor to wear this dress knowing that going forward oscar de la renta will be completely fur-free!!!

She added that this decision will make “an impact for the greater good, not only for animals but also for our planet and environment too.”
