Kate Middleton’s €60 Zara blazer sold out in minutes this week

The red blazer came straight from the hight street.

This week saw the Duchess of Cambridge travel to Denmark on a solo royal tour.

Kate kicked off the tour with a visit to the Lego Foundation Play Lab in Copenhagen where she showed her playful slide after whizzing down a slide.

While there, royal fans couldn’t help but admire Kate’s blazer, which she nabbed (OK, it was probably nabbed for her) straight from the high street.

That’s right, the gorgeous red blazer retails for €59.95 at Zara.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the ‘Kate-effect’ kicked in, and it wasn’t long until the jacket had sold out in the US, though it is still listed on the Irish website.

The blazer is double breasted and features a lapel collar, textured gold buttons, pockets and shoulder pads. While Kate smartly paired hers with a white blouse – an homage to the colours of the Danish flag – and black trousers, it could definitely be dressed down with jeans or a mini skirt for a casual night out.

This is hardly the first time Kate has worn items direct from the high street.

The Duchess of Cambridge is a massive fan of Marks & Spencer and sported a pair of £30 trainers from the brand in February 2020.

During her tour of Denmark, Kate shared that her children, George (8), Charlotte (6) and Louis (3) would be very jealous of her for getting to visit the Lego lab.

She said: “My children are very jealous they weren’t coming to see the Lego Foundation. They were like, ‘hang on, there’s Lego and we’re not coming?'”

At a separate visit to Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project, Kate hinted at the possibility of having another baby.

Admitting that she’s “very broody”, the Duchess said: “William always worries about me meeting under one-year-olds. I come home saying ‘Let’s have another one.'”
