Massive congratulations are in order for singer Alexandra Burke and her partner, West Ham footballer Darren Randolph, as they have revealed that they are expecting their first child together.

Alexandra, who shot to fame after winning the X Factor in 2008, shared the happy news with an emotional video on Instagram.

In it, we see the couple out walking their dogs in the park. They later embrace before a lake, and Darren bends down to kiss Alexandra’s bump. In other shots, they are seen celebrating the exciting news at home.

In her caption, the singer shared that their baby is due in June.

After posting the video, fans and friends rushed to congratulate the couple.

Strictly Come Dancing champ Ore Oduba wrote: “SO happy beyond words!!!! Congratulations darling!!!”

Alexandra and Darren, who hails from Bray, began dating last year.

A source close to the couple confirmed that they were seeing each other in 2021.

Last summer, the insider told The Sun: “It’s early days and Alexandra has deliberately taken things incredibly slowly.

“They’ve had a series of dates but not been able to meet up as much as they would have wanted due to her hectic work schedule and the Covid restrictions.”

The source hinted that Alex was initially “reluctant” to date another footballer, having previously been in a relationship with Rotherham United’s Angus Macdonald. However, they added that Darren’s charms helped speed things along.

They said: “Alexandra was extremely reluctant to date another footballer but Darren is the sweetest, most down-to-earth guy — and incredibly charming. He wore her down.”

Alexandra and Darren then made it red carpet official at the Dune premiere in London last October.
