They are promoting their latest Netflix film.

Mrs Brown’s Boys comedian Brendan O’Carroll has been called out on the internet after he made comments about Tyler Perry’s “colour” on The One Show.

Viewers watching are now accusing Brendan of making an “incredibly racist remark” towards the actor as they sat down for an interview on the BBC show.

The pair appeared via video link when Brendan was asked if he could ever see Tyler appearing on his own sitcom in the future.

Replying to hosts Lauren Laverne and Harry Judd, Brendan gestured to his own face and said: “So far we haven’t had anyone of his colour in there so I don’t know if we could have him in.

“But you know what, I’d love that, but I think more importantly I’d love to do another movie with him.”

Shocked, Tyler laughed off the comment and then repeated it back to Brendan, saying: “Nobody my colour,” as Brendan pointed to his face again.

Tyler added: “Time to change the world. Diversity rules, here we go.”

People watching rushed to social media to make complaints about his remarks, with one saying: “Brendan Carol just made a racist remark on the one show and not one person called him out. Shame on you BBC #TheOneShow.”

Another added: “Did Brendan O’Carroll just say Tyler a Perry couldn’t be in Mrs Brown’s Boys because he’s black on The One Show!?”

A third wrote: “Brendan O’Carroll’s attempt at being funny towards @tylerperry on BBC One Show tonight was quite embarrassing, I’m sure no malice was meant but that comment was wrong on so many levels.”

Tyler and Brendan appeared on the show as they are currently promoting their new Netflix film A Madea Homecoming, where Mrs Brown has a cameo in Tyler’s long running film franchise.
