Doireann Garrihy has opened up about how she met her current boyfriend Mark Mehigan. The couple recently jetted off together following Doireann’s successful stint on Dancing with the Stars and it looks like they’re happier than ever.
Doireann only recently confirmed her relationship with the comedian.
Earlier this year, Doireann and Mark made their relationship Instagram official.
Doireann posted a photo of her and the comedian during a Christmas getaway at the five-star Powerscourt Hotel in Enniskerry.
The radio presenter has since opened up about her new partner.
She told VIP Magazine that she started following him on Instagram and he quickly messaged her.
Doireann explained that Mark’s cousin is a producer at RTÉ and she remembered Mark from a couple of his viral videos.

“I followed him and he followed me back. But he DMed me first. That’s an important detail,” she told the publication.
Doireann added, “When it’s right, it’s right and you don’t have to worry about making time. It just happens.”
The presenter said that their relationship is in a solid place at the moment.
Doireann and Mark flew out to Marbella for a well-deserved break after she completed hosting duties on Dancing with the Stars.
She said she had the nicest time with Mark during their 10-day trip.
Alongside a series of snaps from their break, Doireann said they had “the nicest nine nights”.
