In a recent interview with The New York Times, Jennifer referred to 2019 as the year "everything I had worked for in movies, music and fashion just started happening."
In a YouTube video diary, she said it was important for her to mark her 50th year with a world tour.
“It was important as a woman to do that, to let people know that you don’t get to write women off at a certain point in their life,” she said.
“You’re getting better and better as you go, so long as you are open to the experience of growing and evolving.”
And things didn't slow down for her after embarking on the It’s My Party world tour. In 2020, she performed at the Super Bowl halftime show with the legendary Shakira. She also recently rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck.
"I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him," she previously said of their relationship. "It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance."
The star's latest film Marry Me hits Irish cinemas next week, where she stars alongside Owen Wilson.
The movie revolves around a lonely superstar who agrees to marry a stranger on a whim.
She said playing the role was "really fun and also cathartic," and she enjoyed "revealing a little something of what it's like living in the public eye."Explore more on these topics:
