Love Island’s Adam responds to claims him and Paige have split up

Are they over already?

Love Island star Adam Collard already has had to shut down rumours that he and Paige Thorne have ended things, despite not even being out of the villa a week yet. The couple has been together essentially since Adam re-entered the series, with Paige moving onto him once Jacques O'Neill announced he was leaving the show. With the pair now exclusive, the two finished in fifth place, leaving the night before the live final. Rumours, however, began circulating on Instagram that the two had already split up when Adam posted a selfie alone, with the caption: "Don't call it a comeback". Paige only added to this when she posted a picture of herself alone at the Love Island wrap party. One person commented on Adam's post, asking: "Are you and Paige still together?" "I bloody hope so since I'm seeing her tomorrow," Adam replied, adding: "Course we are, I can't wait just family comes first x." Clearing it up, the confusion came after the meet the parents episode of the series when Paige's mum dished out her concerns over Adam. Not holding back on her thoughts about him, Paige had been eager to hear her mum's opinion on her new man, but didn't get the answer she was hoping for. After taking a long pause, Paige's mum whispered: "I'm not buying it. "The way you were with Jacques was completely different. You were a lot more you, and full of life and personality. You just seemed a lot different with Jacques." Speaking in the Beach Hut later, Paige laughed: "My mum and her savage comments. I mean, she would be. I was just like 'Oh, for God's sake'."
