“It’s condescending sometimes”

Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke has hit back at brutal dad-shaming comments made before his twins have even been born.

Ollie and his husband Gareth are expecting twins via a surrogate and know they’re having a boy and a girl.

Speaking on the Twinning It podcast with twin mums, Jenna Good and Alison Perry, Ollie said it’s very “annoying” when people get involved in his family life.

He said: “What annoys me is that people say you have no idea how your life is going to change.

“I do understand, that’s why we’ve gone through IVF, it’s not going to be like it was before, but let me go on my own adventure.

“It’s condescending sometimes. They say wait for the mummy police, or our case daddy police.”

The TV personality also revealed that he and his husband Gareth aren’t fully prepared for the new arrivals.

The dad is still deciding on names for his twins.

He said they changed their baby girl’s name because one of Binky Felstead‘s friends called their child the same name.

Binky and Ollie have remained best friends since appearing on the reality show, Made In Chelsea and Ollie is godfather to Binky’s daughter India.

Sharing the story, he explained: “We have both names, and goodness me that’s a struggle. We tell everyone we meet what our baby names are.

“One was a girl I knew years ago, a beautiful girl. We came up with a name similar and I told Binky who told her best friend who had a baby called that as well who went mental at me so we’ve changed it somewhat.

“It’s a very similar name but not the same name. We’re not the kind of people who want normal names.

“We love old Greek old Roman old Shakespeare almost names. Cressida was a name we nearly went for River but lots of people have that name.”

Ollie said he likes the names Obi and Orthello for his baby boy. He said: “I found girls names incredibly difficult but boys names came easily.”
