People think Serena Williams may have revealed the gender of Meghan and Harry’s baby

Keeley Ryan

Hmmmm.

As fans of the royal family (and just about everyone else in the world, really) are well aware, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be welcoming their first child this year.

The Duchess of Sussex revealed in January that she was six months pregnant, and that their little one would be arriving in late April or early May.

There isn’t too much information about baby Sussex, including gender, specific due date or…well, anything else, really.

One of the things that fans have been most eager to know, though, was whether the future member of the royal family is going to be a boy or a girl – particularly after the duchess’ baby shower in New York City.

And while Meghan said that she and Prince Harry were keeping their baby’s gender a “surprise”, fans reckon that Serena Williams may have just dropped a huge clue about whether Baby Sussex is a boy or girl.

Or, actually, they reckon she revealed it entirely.

During an interview with E! Newsthe 37-year-old shared her best piece of advice for new mums – to “accept mistakes and don’t accept to be perfect” – before adding:

“We put so much pressure on ourselves. My friend is pregnant, and she was like, ‘My kid’s gonna do this,’ [and] I just looked at her like, ‘No, she’s not’. I’m like, ‘No, you’re not.'”

While the Duchess of Sussex wasn’t mentioned by name as actually being Serena’s “pregnant friend”, many royal fans took it as a clue about Baby Sussex.

The mum-of-one was also asked about how she thought Meghan would handle motherhood, adding:

“She’ll be the best mum, for sure.”
