Shia LaBeouf has been charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing after being disruptive and smoking during a Broadway performance of Cabaret.

The actor was escorted out of a theatre in handcuffs after disrupting the first half of the show and smoking cigarettes.

A spokesperson for Studio 54 theatre told E! News:

"He was disruptive during act one and escorted out of Studio 54 at intermission.”

Security removed the actor from the show in handcuffs, where he continued ‘acting disorderly’ towards police officers before being brought to a police station in the mid-town.

According to Broadway World gossip site, LeBeouf was in tears when taken away by police.
