“Unlikely” Gogglebox’s Ellie Warner will return to show this season

Ellie’s focus is said to be 100% on supporting her boyfriend in his recovery.

It looks like sisters Ellie and Izzi Warner will not be returning to Gogglebox this current season as Ellie’s boyfriend continues to recover from a hit and run incident which occurred in Leeds last month.

It was reported that Nat sustained a broken back, broken neck and two collapsed lungs as well as possible brain damage.

Both Ellie and Izzi have been missing from the fly-on-the-wall show’s lineup since the incident, and it’s understood that Channel 4 told them to take as much time as they need.

The Mirror UK reports that it is unlikely that the sisters will return at all for this season.

A source said: “Ellie’s focus, 100 per cent, is on Nat and supporting him in his recovery.

“She’s been told to take as much time off as she needs and it is very unlikely she will be returning during the current series. Producers have told her to take as long as she needs.”

Meanwhile, a friend of Ellie’s told The Sun that her heart is “totally ripped in two” by what happened to Nat.

They added: “She is still in a state of shock about how things have ended up. Right now all that Ellie is focusing on is making sure she is there for Nat.”

Shortly after the hit and run occurred, West Yorkshire Police released a statement which read: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in the Halton area of Leeds involving a white Seat Leon and an adult male pedestrian.

“Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, which occurred on Selby Road near to The Woodman pub at around 00:10 this morning (March 19).

“The pedestrian has suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.”
