Fans began to take to social media with plenty of questions as to why they weren't able to catch up on the summer series.
And it looks like there may be a pretty valid (but still unfortunate) reason for Love Island's absence from the streaming service.
When asked by a social media user why Love Island hadn't appeared yet, a spokesperson for Netflix UK & Ireland replied:
"We only have UK rights, unfortunately."https://twitter.com/NetflixUK/status/992007823210045441 So, that explains it, we guess. But we've still got our fingers crossed that our favourite Islanders will be making an appearance on Netflix soon. Meanwhile, there's only a few weeks to go until the fourth season of Love Island begins. Or, well, we think so anyways - there hasn't been an official date set yet. There's been a few teasers for the series released, but not much other information has been given about what fans can expect. For the last few years, Love Island has begun either in the first week of June or very late May, so it's most likely going to be around then for the start of series 4. Beyond that, it looks like we may still be waiting a while for a glimpse at this year's cast - as well as the villa itself.
