Do you love to watch telly? Feel like you have a well of hot-takes you’re willing to share with the world? Fancy yourself a bit of an armchair critic?

Well, Virgin Media Television may have the perfect gig for you!

The hugely popular TV show Gogglebox Ireland is on the hunt for fresh faces to join their line-up of watchers.

Earlier this week, Virgin Media Television announced that they were casting for the upcoming series.

The company said: “The team behind the show that gives you a rundown of the most weird and wonderful telly from the last seven days are looking to hear from fathers and sons, brothers and sisters and even sports fanatics who just can’t get enough of what’s on the box.

“So if you know your Marty McFlys from your Marty Morrisseys and are just as gripped by the ‘Bake Off’ as you are by ‘The Sunday Game,’ then you might just find yourself joining the nation’s funniest TV fans.”

Those interested in joining the team should send an email [email protected].

Since the UK edition of Gogglebox launched in 2013, the show has become a global sensation, inspiring a number of international versions of the programme.

Gogglebox Ireland debuted in 2016, and its most reason season aired last September. The show’s cast members – and their telly opinions – have resonated with viewers. Many have even attracted a fanbase of their own. The Cabra girls, for instance, have charmed audiences, as have Tracie and Anita from the Liberties.

If you’re not familiar with Gogglebox, but feel you’d make a fine addition, now is the time to catch up. The latest season is available to watch on the Virgin Media Player, and it makes for perfect comfort-watching.
