Grey’s Anatomy may be getting a ‘possibly dangerous’ new guest star

We're not too sure how to feel about this...

Grey’s Anatomy has never shied away from dramatic or shocking twists in storylines – but this latest addition will have fans seriously spooked.

Longtime fans of the medical drama have said farewell to Dr Callie Torres, Stephanie and Eliza Minnick after the explosive season 13 finale – while getting ready for a “controversial” new doctor’s first appearance.

Even Dr Ben Warren is said to be (possibly) hanging up his scrubs.

But it now looks like Pennywise could be checking into Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital – sort of.

Yes, that Pennywise.

According to TV Line‘s Michael Ausiello, the medical drama’s 300th episode may feature a “frightening, possibly dangerous clown” following the success of the Stephen King movie.

Lovely.

He said:

“With IT breaking box office records, I’m hearing rumblings that the Krista Vernoff-penned outing — which bears the Hamilton-esque title ‘Who Dies, Who Lives, Who Tells Your Story’ — may feature a frightening, possibly dangerous clown.”

The popular drama – which has already aired 293 episodes – is kicking off the 14th season with a two hour premiere on September 28, making lucky 300 the season’s seventh outing.

It comes as it was confirmed Dr Ben Warren was going to be swapping out scrubs for fireman’s equipment after making the move to the spin-off show.

The firefighter spinoff will be the second Grey’s Anatomy-related series since the medical drama first premiered in 2005.

It will follow in the footsteps of Private Practice, which followed Dr Addison Montgomery Shepherd after she moved away from working in Seattle Grace to a private practice in California.

But the latest series is the first in the Grey Sloan universe that isn’t centred around the lives of medical professionals.
