Here are the biggest movie and TV trailers from the Super Bowl

Keeley Ryan

Netflix

In case you haven’t heard, it was the Super Bowl this weekend.

Justin Timberlake performed the half-time show (and some people weren’t happy), the Philadelphia Eagles won their first ever Super Bowl title (congrats!), and there were lots of sneak peeks at some of 2018’s biggest films and TV shows.

So from big screen blockbusters to small screen series, we’ve rounded up the biggest movie and TV trailers from Super Bowl weekend.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

The first glimpse of the stand-alone Han Solo movie dropped during the Super Bowl, complete with a brief look at the stand-out cast and some jam-packed action scenes.

And even though we still have to wait for the full-length trailer, we’re definitely intrigued by what we’ve seen so far.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

They’re baaaaaaack. Kind of.

After the promise of dino action that was bigger than ever before, the Super Bowl spot provided fans with a more horror-inspired look at the soon-to-be summer blockbuster – including some more intimate (and nail-biting) sequences that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.

Castle Rock

Another Stephen King adaptation, Castle Rock tangles up a number of the writer’s characters and chilling tales.

The second teaser trailer shows off the stellar cast, including Moonlight’s Andre Holland and Don’t Breathe’s Jane Levy, as well as some more subtle hints at the spookiness viewers can expect.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan

The John Krasinski-fronted series shows him taking on the role of Jack Ryan, a small-screen take of the part previously played by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine.

The series will follow Ryan’s investigation into a series of bank transfers – which will leave him in racing against time to catch a rising figure in a growing terrorist cell.

Mission Impossible: Fallout

Another Mission Impossible movie means one thing: another series of…well, ridiculously scary-looking stunts.

Tom Cruise is joined by Angela Bassett and Henry Cavill for the latest instalment it the action-packed series.

Westworld

Probably one of the most highly anticipated returning TV series’ of 2018, Westward gave fans the first glimpse at what’s to come during the Super Bowl spot.

There’s not loads being given away – which probably works out better, since Westworld works better with a bit of secrecy – but it’s definitely shaping up for an interesting and action-packed chapter.

Skyscraper

Dwayne Johnson is ex-FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and war veteran Will Ford, who now assesses security for skyscrapers – and ends up being framed for setting the world’s tallest and safest building ablaze.

While trying to find those actually responsible and rescue his family (who are trapped above the fire line), he ends up jumping off a construction crane, dangling off a building…and, well, just about every action-hero move you would expect.

Avengers: Infinity War

“So this is it. It’s all been leading to this.”

One of the most anticipated movie trailers of the night, fans finally got a glimpse at all of the superheroes who will be teaming up as part of the next Avengers movie – and it’s an absolute dream for fans of the MCU.

The Cloverfield Paradox

Remember Cloverfield? The 2008 found-footage monster movie has now got a sequel, thanks to Netflix.

The streaming service debuted the terrifying trailer for the movie during the Super Bowl – and made the whole thing available to watch right after the game.

Red Sparrow

Just weeks away from its premiere, the latest trailer for Jennifer Lawrence’s spy-thriller debuted during Super Bowl Sunday.

The actress plays a ballerina who accidentally sees something that she isn’t supposed to, and ends up being given a choice: die or become an assassin.

A Quiet Place

The short-and-not-so-sweet trailer features John Krasinski and his real-life other half, Emily Blunt, in a creepy horror tale set in a  world gone terribly, terribly wrong.

The chilling trailer follows the couple as they end up fleeing to an abandoned farm in an effort to protect their kids from some mysterious supernatural forces that use sound to hunt their prey.
