The figure has not gone down well.
Just days after Madame Tussauds unveiled their wax figure of the future royal, LEGOLAND has followed suit and have revealed their own figurine of Meghan Markle.
However, while the waxwork was met largely with praise for its accuracy, LEGOLAND’s interpretation of the former actress has left many very angry.
The figure unveiled this week is being criticised because of the colour they chose to use for Meghan’s skin.
“To celebrate HRH Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle’s wedding, we proudly announce the creation of our very own LEGO Windsor Castle and Royal Wedding scene,” they said of the reveal.
“Made from over 39,960 LEGO bricks, this brand new attraction is now on display in MINILAND.”

Many people are saying the LEGO of Meghan has been “whitewashed” and does not capture her properly, taking to Twitter to question the exhibition on their decision.
Why is Meghan white tho?

A representative from LEGOLAND has responded to the criticism they’ve received online, telling TMZ:
“Our small LEGOLAND figures are not detailed representations of any of the characters and are all built using a limited range of [primary] brick tones.”
As highlighted in the TMZ article though, the bricks used to create Meghan’s character are clearly much lighter in comparison to those used for her mother, Dorris Ragland, leading to a lot of disappointment among the general public.
