Is he on the way out?
Last night’s episode of Love Island had one of the most dramatic recouplings in the show’s history, and viewers are already theorising about what might happen next.
During the show, we saw Jacques opt to stick with Paige instead of coupling up with any of the Casa Amor girls. Paige, similarly, chose to stay in her original couple.
While the pair initially seemed happy, things got a bit heated when host Laura Whitmore asked Cheyenne to share how she felt about her Love Island experience.
Cheyenne said that after Casa Amor, she didn’t think that she would be standing with the other girls, and that she had a connection with Jacques. She then revealed that they shared a bed and kissed, and that her version of a test is “different to someone else’s”.
Afterwards, Paige appeared upset to learn that Jacques didn’t stay entirely loyal, and, judging by the teaser for tonight’s episode, the fallout from the recoupling is set to continue.

Another scene in the clip shows her tearfully saying: “The way he made me feel all that time.”
Then, we see Jacques confide in Luca saying: “No point in me being here.”
Luca then tells him that he’s certain Paige will forgive him, and Jacques says: “I won’t let her forgive me.”
These two remarks from Jacques have led some fans to believe that the rugby player may be planning on leaving the show entirely.
“I see Jacques leaving the villa,” one fan wrote.
Another took issue with his comments on forgiveness.
“Why is Jacques saying I won’t let her forgive me like he’s the bigger person,” they wrote.
